Iran holds film week in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Iran’s cultural center in Sarajevo is to organize The Iranian Film Week in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the city of Bijeljina.

Five recent Iranian films will be screened during the event taking place from December 4 to 8, 2017, including the following productions:

‘Daughter’ (2016), directed by Reza Mirkarimi, is the story of a young girl who leaves her hometown in southern Iran for a half-day trip, without permission of her strict father, to attend a close friend’s goodbye party. On her way back home, severe weather messes with her plan.

‘Today’ (2014), directed by Reza Mirkarimi, revolves around a taxi driver who drives a young woman to a small Iranian hospital. When he gets there, he realizes that he must make crucial decisions that may change his life.

‘Crazy Castle’ (2015), directed by Abolhassan Davoodi, tells the story of a group of people who met on social media and must work together when one of them commits a crime, which if not solved, will impact all of them.

‘So Close, So Far’ (2005), directed by Reza Mirkarimi, is the story of doctor Alam, a neurologist and a successful surgeon, who is swamped with work and has little time for his son, until the young man is diagnosed with brain cancer.

‘Where Are My Shoes?’ (2016), directed by Kiumars Poorahmad, focuses on Habib, whose wife and daughter lose touch with him. He suffers a memory loss that is attributed to onset of Alzheimer.

This is the fourth year in a raw in which the Iranian Cultural Center holds this cinematic event in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
